Dual uses
Established for the extreme outdoor enthusiast, Dual Uses combines the Jeff Bezos approach of Amazon to offer an all-encompassing online store for everything hunting, survival, and doomsday awareness. Dual Uses wanted to market specific products that would excite backwoods barons of all types. They also provide a proprietary brand of products. Jason of Cohesive Media was able to brand the new company, create an online presence, and assist with product development. Based on a sketch and an idea he brought to life their inaugural labor of love, a spring loading firearm magazine.
Jason’s journey with the new startup consisted of a logo revamp that would pave the way for website production and product development. Dual Uses had a logo in place, but it lacked the fundamentals that are crucial in carrying a brand. From there, he created a 3D model prototype for their spring loading firearm magazine. He then animated all of the parts to show how the product would perform. The online store was created by designing a WordPress e-commerce platform that the client could easily manage.
PROFESSIONAL POLISH
The original logo had most of the right components, but needed a professional polish to be functional in every possible scenario. Our country’s patriotic color palette is a common request for clients. Jason thought we could still incorporate America and be a bit more cohesive. From there, it was just a matter of updating the elements to strengthen the brand.

3D DESIGN
DEVELOPING THE PROTOTYPE
It all started with a small idea that led to a rough sketch, and Jason was fortunate enough to be brought in on the development stages. Dual Uses utilized Jason’s ability to create 3D renders and bring to life a real visualization of their dream. He started by creating a rough vector illustration to understand the mechanism.
From there, he created the 3D model that provided the starting point for animation. The final product is in the video below.

Dual Uses wanted to create an online e-commerce that tailored itself to the niche market of outdoor enthusiasts. Once the brand and product design were complete, Jason produced virtual online real estate that was user-friendly and efficient for both the client and customers.
